Welcome to Shree Sadashiva Campus, Puri

The Sansthan was established in 15th October, 1970 as an autonomous organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Act XXI of 1860) for the development and promotion of Sanskrit all over the country. It is fully funded by Government of India. It functions as an apex body for propagation and development of Sanskrit and assists the Ministry of Human Resource Development in formulating and implementing various plans and schemes for the development of Sanskrit studies. It has assumed the role of a nodal body for the effective implementation of various recommendations made by the Sanskrit Commission set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Education in 1956 to consider the propagation and development of Sanskrit language and education in all its aspects.

Courses

Regular Courses
This campus offers the courses of Prak Sastri (Intermediate), Sastri(B.A), Siksha Sastri (B.Ed), Acharya(M.A) in the disciplines of Vedanta, Sahitya, Vyakarana and Nyaya. The Doctoral research Vidya Varidhi(Ph.D.) is also offered. The campus offers modern subjects such as History, English, Computer Science for equipping the students with multi-faceted talent. Short term certificate courses in Bharatiya Jyothisha is also being conducted in the main center of the Campus.

Distance Education
The Muktaswadhyaya Peetham, the epicenter of Distance Education in Sanskrit, has been started by Sansthan which controls the Distance education centers at various locations. These centers make the learning material available to the registered candidates besides conducting the classes on holidays for them. The main object of this distance education is to provide courses like Prak Shastri, Shastri and Acharya to the interested individuals at their door step. Working people and people engaged in other works can take the full benefit of these courses which have an extra edge of classes on holidays for their convenience.
